A “Special” Christmas

And the winners of the audiobooks are MARTI DOLETA and DEANA COUTURE. Congratulations to them and thank you to all who left comments below.

I see that my last blog was about my Christmas books and how much I have always enjoyed writing them. I will not repeat myself, then. But exciting things are happening this month if you enjoy a good bargain. The price of the e-book anthologies Christmas Gifts and Christmas Miracles has been reduced to under $2 each for this month only. That’s not bad for three novellas in each one .And don’t feel left out if you do not have a Kindle or a Nook. The reading apps can be downloaded onto your phone or your tablet or computer. Then you just have to click on one of the covers on Home Page above and find the link to the vendor of your choice.

xmasgiftxmasmiracEven better for value, the e-book price has been temporarily dropped on the 2-in-1 edition of Christmas Bride/Christmas Beau. Even at the full price this was good value as these two stories are full-length novels, originally published separately. You can find buy links by clicking on “Books” at the top of the page. So you can read six Christmas novellas and two novels all for the price of around six dollars.

I have a few copies of the audiobook editions of THE PROPOSAL, THE ESCAPE, ONLY ENCHANTING, and ONLY A PROMISE and will send one of them (winner’s choice) to each of two people who express an interest in a comment below before the end of Monday, December 14. Good luck.

  1. I have read all of those christmas books of your and they’re so very wonderful. I live in a tropical country so we don’t snow or any of those things in the stories. We are actually experiencing summer all year round . However when I read your stories I feel like I am transported to a different world and it is very amazing. I would often wonder what would be like to experience a christmas like the ones in your books. I really do thank you for that experience and I hope to read more from you. I really love your books and thank you so much! 😉

  2. I enjoy reading your books, your characters are lovely – all your “series” are great but the Survivors’ club are my favorites!

  3. I have been reading your books for years, and quite often pull them out and reread them. The Christmas ones are always favorites. I look forward to many more years enjoying your work!

  4. *Jumps Up and Down Squealing* You and Grace Burrowes are the two authors that made Christmas stories enjoyable again. They can take me from a grumpy Scrooge to believing in the season in the span of a novella, worst case a full novel. I would love any and all audiobooks in the Survivor’s Club…might be so devious as to share with my firmly anti-romance novels sister to see if I can get her hooked.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season! Thank you for hours of entertainment and respite.

  5. i love audio books as they allow me to read while i work, walk, garden, travel and relax. Before I retired they saved my sanity as I drove 55 klms each way to go to work. I enjoy the Romance genre most of all. Thank you for the hours of pleasure your books have given me.

  6. My hope is to accumulate all of your books, even those out of print. I’m close and they are on my favorites shelf and are read over and over. Would love to win one of our audiobooks.

  7. I love all of the stories in the two books, and while I own all of the anthologies containing them from the past, I ordered them for my Kindle. It is hard to choose a favorite, although I love The little fellow in The Porcelain Madonna. I hope you will write more some day!

  8. I just downloaded these lovelies and can hardly wait to dive in. I hope you have the most wonderful solstice celebration of your choice.

  9. I love all your books and every Christmas I reread all your holiday novels and novels. I just finished the two recently released books — delightful!

A recent book that really touches me is Only Enhancing. I’d love to have another copy.

A recent book that really touches me deeply is Only Enhancing. I’d love to have another copy.

      Keep the marvelous books coming!

  10. I love all your Christmas stories, full novels or novellas. I have read each one several times and enjoy imaging the wonderful winter scenes you portray so well. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.

  11. What a lovely prize for Christmas, I know before I got my kindle I bought quite a few of your books, naturally as fav author, I never thought of cataloguing. But due to unforeseen circumstances my eldest returned to the nest, just after I had recently moved and before decorating, including assembling my book shelf. As of today my son has flown and I happily look forward to saying hi to my collection and maybe read a few of my favourites. Happy holidays xx

  12. Hello Ms. Balogh,
I am a big fan of your books! I love to read holiday romance as well. They just take you to a special place in my opinion. Thanks for the opportunity to win an audiobook, they are so convenient for me, I love them. Merry early Christmas!

  13. Merry Christmas from Port of Spain in the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Thank you so much for your wonderful books that bring me hours of reading pleasure. I wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and a new year filled with love, laughter and good health. All the very best.

  14. Mary, I have always loved all of your Christmas stories and as others have mentioned, they always transport me to a special place. I am so glad that they are available as e-books and on sale, so that others can enjoy them also. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season.

  15. I am another fan who rereads all your Christmas books and novellas each year (also those of Mary Jo Putney, Barbara Metzger, Marian Devon, and other Regency authors as well as all the Signet Regency Christmas books. My very favorite Christmas book is yours–A CHRISTMAS BRIDE. Thank you for all the pleasure you have given me and all your other readers.

  16. Mary, thank you so much for introducing me to historical romance! I discovered your Bedwyn series at a local library years ago and have been hooked ever since! You are truly a gifted author. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I have never actually listened to an audio book… But I would love the chance to win one. Thanks!! 🙂

  17. I bought these two e-books when they were first released and read them right away. Meant to save them for closer to Christmas, but I have no will power. I’m not a great fan of novellas, but these were wonderful. Christmas started in October for me. I am such a sucker for love stories that involve children or animals.

I also look forward to the book you and Grace Burrowes will be releasing in April (?). Thanks for the chance to win an audio book, I have never had one and I have been reluctant to spend the money to try one.

And finally, thank you for all wonderful hours of reading that I have enjoyed since I discovered one of your books in the library several years ago.

I hope you and your loved one have a merry Christmas and a happy and blessed New Year.

  18. Xmas is a wonderful time to put aside our worldly skepticism and wallow in the sentimental. A Xmas romance is a lovely treat. Thanks for writing so many.

  19. Thanks for all of your giveaways! I have never tried an audio book, but would love to start with yours.

    Merry Christmas, Mary!

  20. Merry Christmas!
Luckily I’ve read the novellas in paperback. Because there are no German e-book shops that “stock” these two E-Books. 🙁

  21. I know I’m a bit late with this, but I just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed the two Christmas anthologies. (My all-time favourite is The Wassail Bowl).
I love second chance stories and I think Christmas stories are especially good for this – the festive season is often a catalyst for the two meeting up again and the attraction between them is so believable because the relationship was already established previously.
Anyway, thank you for writing your books, they have given me countless hours of pleasure.

  22. So…. I’m rediscovering the reader in me.
Brought up on one of richest diet comprising : thoughtful folk-tales connecting to the divine and demure (Sindhi prose and poetry), writings of an aunt acclaimed as the queen of short-story,
Russian classics translated in my mother tongue…. all starting with an incurable story-teller of a Mom.
I was an inveterate reader, always having a book on me (bus, train or even in a restroom).
    Somewhere, the reading got lost.
A younger siblings manipulative gifts have restored my habit back to health.
Feeling alive…. after many years !!!!!
